Intelligence

Benchmarks, tracked datasets and the Collective Pulse. The numbers behind what digital leaders are actually doing, with the method shown.

Most industry statistics circulate for years without anyone checking where they came from. Intelligence is our answer to that: numbers we either gathered ourselves or traced back to a primary source, published with enough method that you can decide whether to trust them.

What sits here

01
Pulse
The Collective Pulse
A recurring read of what senior digital leaders in our network are prioritising, budgeting for and abandoning. Sample size and question wording published every time.
02
Benchmark
Tracked over time
Measures we return to on a fixed cadence so movement means something. A number published once is trivia; a number tracked is intelligence.
03
Traced
Third-party data, sourced properly
External datasets worth knowing about, traced to the original publisher, with the sample and the limitations stated rather than stripped out.

What we publish alongside every figure

Who was asked and how many of them. When fieldwork ran. The exact question wording. Who paid for it, if anyone did. Where the number cannot bear the weight people will want to put on it, we say that in the piece rather than in a footnote.

If a figure here is ever wrong, it is corrected in public under our corrections policy and the original value stays visible in the log.
